Who doesn’t love Amazon? Especially with little kids, I feel like I’m placing orders almost everyday (I should probably get better about subscriptions..) Luckily you can find so many great items and trusty brands to overhaul your GF kitchen, travel essentials, school items and more. Here are the GFKC top 10 Amazon items that we reach for everyday.
I want to emphasize that we chose to replace all these items in our home, and you by no means *have* to do that. For many of these items, a very thorough scrub or cycle through the dishwasher should make them GF-safe. However, if you’re in the market for some new kitchen, school or travel gear, take a look below.
Colander - one of the first things we learn after a Celiac Diagnosis is to swap out the colander. They’re one of the most common places gluten can hang out/get stuck and ultimately, contaminate your food. I love the OXO brand, and this set of nesting colanders is handy as well.
Toaster - the second thing we learn after diagnosis is to replace the toaster. #1 and #2 on this list are biggies in terms of ensuring GF safety in your kitchen. I love this one because if you have anyone in your home who eats gluten, they can have a specified side. If you want a more compact toaster, I love the looks of this one.
Zipper Storage Bags - I recently shared these on Instagram but I LOVE these bags. They are amazing for snack packs, travel, school, to keep in the car - anything! They also come with labels.
Snack Cups - GF snacking on the go! These snack cups are awesome. We also really like using Stasher bags since they are reusable.
Lunchboxes - these Bentgo lunchboxes are great for on the go. I especially love the compartments to divvy up different snacks. If you want to keep food cool, or fit larger items, I like this more traditional lunchbox from Bentgo.
Cooking Utensils - I prefer to use silicone cooking utensils because I don’t have to worry about cleaning out the nooks and crannies of wood. I love GIR and Joseph Joseph brands for easy-to-use and easy-to-clean products.
Food Storage Containers - given all the cooking and food prep we do on a daily basis, we often need to store leftovers. I love glass containers, like these, which come in varying sizes.
Sheet Pans - we do a lot of roasting so these come in handy all the time. Can you just thoroughly wash the sheet pans you have? Of course. My preference is to have dedicated GF pans, just knowing things don’t always get as clean as they should. I especially love the quarter sheet pan size for little meals, which makes portioning and cleanup super simple. And the bigger ones are great for feeding the whole family, or food prep.
Cutting Boards - I use mine multiple times a day. Again, can you carefully wash the boards you have? Sure. I would run it through the dishwasher to be on the safe side. I adore OXO boards because they are light, easy to use and even easier to clean (and can be put in the dishwasher). I also love Epicurean brand boards.
Mixing Bowls - whether I’m baking, making my own sauce, or mixing up a salad, I reach for our mixing bowls constantly. I love the Kitchen Aid brand, and also the simple aesthetic of these.
I hope these are helpful for you and your family! Any items I missed? What do you love and rely on from Amazon for your GF lifestyle?

This is a great list! I bought a lot of the same types of items when I was diagnosed with celiac disease. I always bring my Bento lunchbox with me when I'm traveling!
